    Effect(s) on Occupants: A hot-fluid applied waterproofing membrane will be installed at the EMRF project site. Odors will be noticeable in the area of work, and in adjacent buildings. Carbon filters are being utilized in adjacent buildings to minimize impact to occupants. No changes are anticipated to air flow, ventilation, or climate control.

The mechanical room will be available for Facilities to service as needed. As a safety measure, the corridor outside rooms 106/109/110 will have reduced access. Please avoid the 1st floor when possible – ADA entry & elevator access will be maintained.

    System(s) Involved: Classrooms, Student Lounge, Blaster Printer, Vending Machines, Building Access Point

    Effect(s) on Occupants: Construction will be occurring in Classrooms 202, 204, 209, and 211 for the duration of the summer. As a safety measure, the corridor between these rooms will be shut down to accommodate construction. This will also impact Room 207, the Hennebach Student Lounge. Please remove any personal items from this space by end of day Friday May 15. Access to the exterior door will be limited, please use the door directly to the south. A temporary break area and alternative printer location will be provided, to accommodate those remaining on campus. The nearest vending machines should be in Green Center or Coolbaugh Hall.

  • 19th Street Closure between Elm and Illinois May 26 – July 3, 2026

    Upcoming Road Closure!

    19th Street between Elm and Illinois will be closed starting Tuesday, May 26th through Friday, July 3rd.

    The traffic will be diverted on Elm and Illinois to 17th St, and back around. Please see map below for details. This route will keep traffic flowing and reduce delays. Use caution when in this vicinity, and be aware of the increased traffic.

    As always, please be aware of your surroundings, and be sure to follow posted safety signage and follow all safety personnel’s directions.

  • Emergency Outage Hill Hall Air Handing Unit Down June 10, 2026 – Until Complete

    Purpose: Replace the Supply Fan VFD

    System(s) Involved: Air Conditioning provided by AHU #2 only.

    Effect(s) on Occupants: Air Handling Unit #2: This air handling unit furnishes supply and make-up air, heating and cooling to laboratories as follows:

    1st Floor South Wing 
    2nd Floor Main Hall 
    3rd Floor Main Hall 
    2nd Floor South Wing 
    3rd Floor South Wing 

    Lack of supply air will result in disturbing of the fume hoods within the laboratories. As a result, the building space will be under a higher negative pressure while the fume hoods exhaust system is running. Cooling and heating set point cannot be achieved. As a result, the space temperature may be uncomfortable.
