E-Days is right around the corner, taking place April 16-18 on the Mines campus. Short for Engineering Days, E-Days is an event where Mines welcomes the Golden community to celebrate Mines traditions. We wanted to make you aware of E-Days events and impacts on the neighborhood:

  • The Cardboard Boat Races will take place on Saturday, April 18 from 9:00 AM to noon at Clear Creek and we’re looking forward to having you as spectators.
  • The E-DaysCarnival is also once again open to the community. The event takes place from noon to 3:00 PM Saturday in the D Lot (Elm Street) on campus. Kids under 12 can attend for free. All other community members are $5/person, which includes access to the food trucks. Beer wristbands for 21+ are an additional $5.
  • Parking on and near campus on Saturday will be limited. The top level of the McNeil parking garage will be closed all day for the E-Days Fireworks fallout zone. D Lot and Q Lot are also closed.
  • Street closures: Elm Street will be closed between West Campus Road and 17th Street, and West Campus Road will also be entry/exit only on the south side.
  • Mines welcomes the Golden community to watch the E-Days Fireworks on Saturday night (weather dependent). It is an all-aerial show, so you should be able to see the fireworks from many different areas of Golden. You’re also welcome to view the show from campus. You can enter the North IM Field starting at 8:45 PM. The community entrance is on the northeast side of D Lot. Be advised that the Saturday E-Days Concert will last until 9:00 PM. The fireworks show will start about 9:05 PM, weather dependent.

A Note on E-Days Concerts:
• Two outdoor concerts will be held on Friday, April 17 and Saturday, April 18
• Concerts will be held from 6:00-9:00 PM in D Lot (Elm Street) both nights
• Concerts are for the Mines community only
